MIDTERM QUESTIONS
1. I believe that my strongest work is the word of the weeks. Specifically the words: "Hope", "Mysterious", and "Identity", These tend to be my strongest work because I am able to be myself and step a bit out of my comfort zone and have as much freedom as possible to portray a picture of what that specific word means to me. I also have came to the conclusion that when my work takes longer to do and set up, it is a better and more outstanding picture then the ones that are last minute.
2. My most meaningful work is the phobia shooting. This is very personal to me and has a lot to say about me because one of my biggest fears is being kidnapped. I have always had a rough time sleeping and being alone because I have been scared that something will take me away from my life and my family. So this is why I would consider this project the most meaningful. It may not be meaningful to others but it was definitely the most meaningful to me.
3. My weakest work would be my summer diptychs. Looking back at these made me realize how much better I could've done with these. They look very last minute, and very well undone. I could've taken my time with these and understood the importance of this project a little better than I did and I should've took it way more seriously than I did as well. So I have learned that next time if i ever have a project like this, I need to take it more seriously and use my imagination a lot more because you really can tell when a project of photographs is not taken seriously nor if he or she took their time.
4. One of the projects done that I could expand into a bigger better project and keep going with it could make it into multiple works could be my Low key/ High key project. During this project we took pictures based off of how we view ourselves v. how people view me. I showed how people view me as outgoing and I view myself as a very compassionate person. These pictures could have been done in any type of way and instead of using a blank background for the picture, I could go and actually show these pictures as to what they are. For example, for how people view me as outgoing, I could go and show HOW I am outgoing. Same with how I view myself as compassionate. I can show HOW I am compassionate, in all picture form. That is how the project I chose can be made into different multiple projects.
